இந்த தேர்தலில் மக்கள் யாருக்கு பாடம் கற்றுக் கொடுத்தார்கள்?
நாடாளுமன்றத் தேர்தல் எதிர்பார்த்தபடியே முடிவடைந்துவிட்டது. தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் அனேகமாக தெளிவாக தெரிந்துவிட்டது. காங்கிரசு கூட்டணி பல இடங்களில் முன்னணி பெற்று உள்ளது. தமிழகத்தில் திமுக-காங்கிரசு ஓபன் கூட்டணி, தேமுதிக-காங்கிரசு பினாமி கூட்டணி வெற்றி பெற்றுள்ளன. எதிர்பார்த்ததைவிட மிக அதிகமாகவே அடிதடி-அதிரடி-சரவெடி அழகிரி அண்ணே, லட்சம் வாக்குகள் வித்தியாசத்தில் வெற்றி பெற்று உள்ளார். வீரத் தளபதி கந்துவட்டி மைனர் ஜே. கே. ரித்தீஷ் 60,000 வோட்டு வித்தியாசத்தில் வெற்றி. செலவழித்த தொகைக்கு ஏற்ப வோட்டு வித்தியாசம். ஈழப் பெருச்சாளி வைகோ மண்ணை கவ்வி விட்டார். பாமகவுக்கு கோமணத்துணி கூட மிஞ்சவில்லை.
தமிழகத்தில் நவரசங்களும் கலந்தோடுகிறது. குறிப்பாக, ஈழத்திற்கு பலி வாங்கும் வகையில் பாடம் கற்பிக்க தேர்தல் களத்தில் இறங்கி குருதி சிந்திய தோழர்களும், உணர்வாளர்களும் பேரதிர்ச்சியில் உறைந்து போய் உள்ளனர். ஈழத்து குருதியில் கை நனைத்து வோட்டுப் பொறுக்க களம் இறங்கிய சூத்திரதாரி தா.பாண்டியன் கட்சியும், இரட்டை இலையும், பிற போலித் தமிழ்த் தேசிய வியாதிகளும் வாயடைத்துப் போயுள்ளனர். மக்களுக்கு உணர்வு மங்கிவிட்டது, மக்கள் காசு வாங்கிக் கொண்டு வோட்டு போட்டு விட்டனர் என்று பல்வேறு புலம்பல்கள்.
ஆனால், இவையெல்லாவற்றையும் விட பேருண்மை ஒன்று உள்ளது. அது இந்த தேர்தலில் மக்கள் கற்றுக் கொடுத்துள்ள பாடம். யாருக்கு? தேர்தலின் மூலம் மக்களின் பிரச்சினைகளுக்கு ஏதோ ஒரு வகையில் பங்களிப்பு செய்ய முடியும் என்று ஊரை ஏமாற்றி வந்தவர்கள், தானும் ஏமாந்து மக்களையும் ஏமாற்ற முயன்றவர்கள் இவர்களுக்குத்தான் பாடம் கற்பித்துள்ளனர் மக்கள். ஈழம், தொழில் மந்தம், பொருளாதார கொள்கையின் தோல்வி, விவசாயிகள் தற்கொலை, விலைவாசி உயர்வு, வேலையின்மை, மின்வெட்டு இவற்றை மீறி காங்கிரசு போன தடவையை விட அதிக இடங்களில் வெற்றி பெறுள்ளது. எனில், இவை குறித்து மக்களுக்கு அக்கறை இல்லை என்று அர்த்தமா? இவையெல்லாம் மக்களின் ஜீவாதார பிரச்சினைகள் இல்லை என்று அர்த்தமா? இல்லை, மாறாக, தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் இந்த பிரச்சினைகளின் மீது எந்த மாற்றத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்திவிடாது என்பதை மக்கள் உணர்ந்துள்ளனர் என்பதுதான் அர்த்தம்.
எந்த அயோக்கியன் வந்தாலும் இதைத்தான் செய்யப் போகிறான் எனும் போது, மாற்று வழி எதுவும் புலப்படவில்லை எனும் போது, யார் அதிக பணம் கொடுக்கிறானோ, யார் நம்ம சாதிக்காரனோ, யார் வெற்றி பெறுவார்களோ அவர்களுக்கு வோட்டு போட்டு விட்டு போய்விடுவோம் என்பதைத்தான் மக்கள் இந்த தேர்தலில் வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளனர். ஈழத்து ரத்தத்திற்கு பதில் சொல்லும் தேர்தல் இது என்று தேர்தலில் போராடிய பெதிக தோழர்களே, உணர்வாளர்களே இதோ இதுதான் உங்களுக்கான பாடம். மக்களுக்கு இந்த தேர்தலின் மீது அப்படி எந்தவொரு மயக்கமும் இல்லை. இந்த தேர்தல் ஜனநாயகத்தின் மோசடி முகத்தை மக்கள் நன்கு உணர்ந்தே இருக்கிறார்கள். அவர்களது பிரச்சினை எல்லாம் மாற்று அரசியல் ஒன்று வலுவாக, நம்பிக்கையூட்டும் வகையில் இல்லாததுதான்.
தோழர்களே, உண்மையான தீர்வை நோக்கித்தான் நமது பயணம் எனில் மக்கள் மத்தியில் மாற்று அரசியலுக்கான நம்பிக்கையை விதைப்போம். இல்லையேல் அதுவரை மக்கள் நமது சந்தர்ப்பவாத தேர்தல் நம்பிக்கைகளில் பகடை உருட்டவே செய்வார்கள். உணர்வு மங்கி போயுள்ளது மக்களுக்கல்ல தோழர்களே, நமக்குத்தான். விலை போனது மக்கள் அல்ல தோழர்களே, நாம்தான் சரியான அரசியல் மீது நம்பிக்கையின்றி விலை போய் விட்டோம். தமிழகத்தின் தலைவிதியை இப்படியெல்லாம் மாற்றிவிட முடியாது தோழர்களே. இதோ மக்கள் இந்த தேர்தலில் செவிட்டில் அறைந்தது போல நமக்கு இந்த உண்மையையே உணர்த்தியுள்ளனர்.

Tribals stop paramilitary from entering Lalgarh, reinforcement rushed

Midnapore (WB), Jun 15 (PTI) After forcing the police out, agitating tribals of Lalgarh and Salboni in West Midnapore district today prevented para-military personnel from entering the area even as the state government brought in reinforcement of CRPF men in a bid to break the siege.
The tribals, numbering 2000 under the banner of People's Committee Against Police Atrocities, stopped the paramilitary forces at a place 35 km from Garbeta town and told them to return, district magistrate D S Nigam said.
Tribals, protesting police atrocities on them in the wake of a landmine blast at Salboni targeted at Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and two former union ministers including Ramvilas Paswan, were also massing at Goaltore, north of Lalgarh, to march to Garbeta to bring the areas under their control, the police said.
The police camps wound up at Belatkri and Dharampur and the Ramgarh outpost in Lalgarh were torched by tribals yesterday and the palatial house of a CPI(M) leader destroyed. They also demolished a camp at Kaima from where the CRPF withdrew.
West Bengal government asked the Centre to send five companies (1200 personnel) of CRPF to recapture Lalgarh, out of which 300 have already reached Kolkata while the others would be joining tomorrow morning. PTI

LALGARH (WB): Hinting at a state within a state, tribal leader Chhatradhar Mahato said his organisation could build infrastructure in just eight
months in restive Lalgarh, which the state government could not do in 32 years.
“If the state government had done 10 per cent of the work we did, the situation would have been different,” Mahato, Convenor of the People’s Committee Against Police Atrocities (PCAPA) said.
“We have laid at least 50 km of gravel path, dug tanks and tube wells and revived irrigation canals with the help of villagers,” he said.
Mahato claimed the PCAPA built a 60-feet-deep reservoir at Barapelia, where its headquarters is situated, and planned to revive a canal for irrigation.
A health centre with a doctor was also functioning at Kantapahari, he said.
Though the government built the road to Midnapore town, all link roads were constructed by the PCAPA, he said, claiming that this saved villagers from walking for miles through forests.
Maoists are on the rampage in Lalgarh, in Midnapore district of West Bengal bordering Orissa, targetting CPM cadres and party offices protesting against police “atrocities”.

The West Bengal government has finally begun its offensive against the Maoists in Lalgarh near Kolkata with a large contingent of police and CRPF personnel.
But the Maoists are determined to put up a tough fight. They have felled trees around Lalgarh to use as roadblocks against the advancing police and CRPF forces.
It’s Day 4 since NDTV broke the news about the Maoist anarchy in Bengal, the violent takeover of what was a CPM bastion for 30 years.
The Centre has told the state government that the offensive must be led by its own police force and that Central forces will only assist them.
Meanwhile, a 12-hour bandh has been called by the CPM.
Lalgarh, the epicentre of the Maoist campaign of violence and intimidation, is just 170 kilometers from Kolkata. The Maoists have killed many CPM activists, vandalised the police station and also set fire to CPM offices.

Central forces on Thursday began their operations to flush out Maoists from villages in Lalgarh in West Bengal. Fifty villages in and around
Lalgarh in West Midnapore district have been captured and declared a ‘free zone’ by Maoists.
Setting up their base camps around Lalgarh, central forces along with state police began closing in on Lalgarh early on Thursday morning. Four to five base camps at strategic locations have been set up with the objective not to concede any more areas to the Maoists. Maoists have formed a three-tier human shield with women and children in the vanguard, men behind them and armed naxals forming the rearguard, according to a senior police official. Sources say the forces want to minimize casualties and will thus move slowly.
Conceding to pressure from the centre the state government had ordered the police to lead the operation with assistance from the central forces. Five companies of CRPF and 8 companies of BSF will help the state police in this operation. The elite Cobra force is also on standby.
